Pricing Coordinator - NY

Job Description

The Pricing Coordinator is a critical role to the organization as it collaborates with Inside Sales, business leaders, and senior/regional sales leaders in support of driving revenues and maximizing profits. Responsible and accountable for activities related to customer pricing.


  • Process and approve all customer pricing requests- both new and existing
  • Manage customer-specific price lists
  • Audit company price books for accuracy
  • Update customer satellite price books and add new items
  • Maintain current raw material pricing and update cost models as necessary
  • Document work instructions and process for all pricing tasks
  • Create and distribute weekly/monthly pricing metrics


  • Established knowledge of pricing and pricing management
  • Ability to successfully work both collaboratively and autonomously
  • Ability to positively influence and persuade others within and across departments
  • Strong organization, follow-up, and time management skills along with the ability to effectively multi-task
  • High technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including, but not limited to, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • CRM experience is highly beneficial
  • Ability to view a computer screen for long periods of time is required
  • Ability to use MS Excel at an advanced level; areas of expertise need to include applying advanced analysis techniques to more complex data sets, sharing and importing data to/from other sources, pivot tables, advanced filtering and subtotaling, creating and maintaining basic macros (Similar capabilities in MS Access could be substituted here)
  • Proven ability to create, compose, and edit written materials that are presentation-ready, aesthetically pleasing, and highly effective

  • Ability to apply problem solving skills to recommend solutions for customer pricing requests


  • 4-year degree in related discipline and 3-5 years' experience; or combined equivalence of education and experience


  • 5-10% travel will be required as you will coordinating pricing in 3 states (Ohio, New York, New Jersey)


  • This position reports to Commercial Pricing
  • Dotted line relationships with Sales Leadership


  • Highly articulate with polished communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate on all levels in various formats is essential


  • Intermediate math aptitude is required
  • Specifically, the ability to create, maintain, and adhere to pricing policies


  • Ability to analyze, compare, contrast, and synthesize information in an efficient and effective manner is important
  • Ability to process data and information in an organized manner and generate ideas and recommendations is essential
